Learned Optimism, They're Strong and Beautiful, Drink Water From a Creek, Oh Yes, She Did!
Hey there!
I'm buzzing with excitement because it's that time again to share a burst of positivity, motivation, wellness, and uplifting news with you!
Let's dive into our little oasis of joy and inspiration, shall we?
đ¸ Positive Corner
"You have to open up to the world and learn optimism. Contentment with the past, happiness with the present, and hope for the future. Learned optimism" ~ Jennifer Crusie
What a lovely quote to think on. It's a gentle nudge that reminds us to embrace the world with open arms and an open heart.
Learned optimism isn't just about seeing the glass as half full, is it? It's about cherishing our yesterdays, reveling in today, and looking forward to tomorrow with a heart full of hope.
Sure, we're glad to see that some of yesterdays are just that - yesterday! Not to be repeated. And we can choose to learn from them or let go of them completely. Frees us up to remember the good yesterdays, right?
And today - for me it's a really good day. Not because everything is going my way. Because the sun is shining, I've finished the things I promised I would finish, I spoke with a good friend, and my family and I have finalized things with Mom's estate.
Tomorrow? I'm looking forward to it. Yes, with hope.
Learned optimism - it's all in how you look at Life and yourself. And it's for you if you want it.

đ We Recommend You Read
In honor of International Womenâs Day, here are a few books you might enjoy. 1 is non-fiction, the other 2 are fiction novels:
An intersectional anthology of works by the known and unknown women that shaped and established the suffrage movement, in time for the 2020 centennial of women's right to vote, with a foreword by Gloria Steinem
A powerful American epic about love and heroism and hope, set during the Great Depression, a time when the country was in crisis and at war with itself, when millions were out of work and even the land seemed to have turned against them.
Weaving together the stories of three extraordinary women across five centuries, Emilia Hart's Weyward is an astonishing debut, and an enthralling novel of female resilience.
Do you have books youâd like to recommend to other women? Reply to this email and share - Iâll put them in the next newsletter!
